PWA helped gain approval for a new three-storey children’s nursery in Preston, that will provide high-quality early years education for up to 230 children.
What we did
PWA Planning successfully secured planning permission for Brambles Nursery, on behalf of BDMA Holdings, that will address the growing demand for childcare in the area.
The nursery’s design incorporates modern amenities and thoughtful features to support children’s development. A dedicated 26-space car park with two electric vehicle charging points, cycle parking, and a waste and recycling area will also be provided.
PWA played a pivotal role in navigating the planning process, ensuring the project aligned with local development goals and community needs.
The nursery’s design and purpose support the objectives of the Central Lancashire Core Strategy, promoting sustainable growth and strengthening community infrastructure. It also aligns with regional planning strategies aimed at fostering sustainable and inclusive growth.
The nursery will have a positive impact on the local economy and community, employing up to 45 staff members in various teaching, administrative, and support roles.
