Scunthorpe United Football Club has launched a consultation with supporters and the public over a multi-million-pound redevelopment of Glanford Park stadium.

PWA Planning is working with architecture practice FWP to advise the club on the redevelopment, which would significantly improve the club’s infrastructure and facilities, as well as attracting more investment from commercial partners.

The main features of the redevelopment include:

  • A new, modern stadium increasing capacity to 11,000 supporters
  • Over 10,000 sqm of lettable space, allowing the club to further diversify its revenue opportunities
  • Up to 400 additional car parking spaces to the east of the stadium and maintaining current parking to the west of the site
  • Development of 160 new residential apartments on part of the 6.3-hectare site
