PWA Planning has helped its client Story Homes to gain planning approval for a development of 281 new homes in the Lea area of Preston.
The development, on land to the west of Lea Road, includes 56 affordable homes and covers two parcels of land. Work is expected to start on site in late 2024.
As part of the development, around eight acres of land will be transferred to Lancashire County Council for the construction of a new railway station, known as Cottam Parkway, to serve the local community.

It will provide the new homes and wider infrastructure that the region’s growing population so desperately needs, including delivering on the county’s long-held ambition to create a new railway station to serve North West Preston.”

PWA worked as part of the project team alongside Randall Thorp, RSK Group, Eddisons, E3P, Miller Goodall, and Urban Green.
