Two planning applications led by PWA that will create new homes within the borough of Chorley, Lancashire, have been approved at committee.
The first scheme will see 15 family homes built on land east of Tincklers Lane in Eccleston, close to Eccleston Cricket Club. The development will help to address a shortage of new family homes in the in the local area.
Meanwhile, the redevelopment of the Head o’th March farm in Brindle, located in the Green Belt, involves the conversion of former farm buildings combined with some new-build to create a total of seven new rural homes. Several disused farm buildings are also due to be removed as part of the proposals.
Louise Leyland, associate at PWA Planning, said: “We’re delighted to have gained approval for these developments. Not only will the Ticklers Lane scheme bring much needed family homes to the area, but also contribute to Chorley’s housing delivery targets.
“It was also great to see the committee comment on the high quality of the Head o’th March plans, we look forward to seeing them both come to fruition.”
The plans to develop more housing provides a sustainable use for the farm and would improve the setting of the adjacent farmhouse which is a Grade II listed building.
The housing scheme on Tincklers Lane will help contribute in both the short and long term to the local economy and use of local services.
