Major commercial development approved with help from PWA Planning

A major new industrial and logistics development in Banbury, Oxfordshire, has been given the go ahead.

PWA Planning worked on behalf of Monte Blackburn Ltd to gain planning consent for the scheme which will be known as Frontier Park.

Located off junction 11 of the M40, it will feature a 210,000 sq ft warehouse and logistics centre, as well as design and build opportunities for two further warehouses of up to 142,000 sq ft and 165,000 sq ft up respectively.

Matt Wyatt, senior planner at PWA Planning, said: “We’re delighted to have enabled our client to move forward with this exciting development which will provide vital new industrial and commercial space and create new jobs.

“As part of the planning application we were able to secure a new access road to the 13-hectare site from the A361. This is an excellent commercial opportunity, offering almost instant access to the M40.”

The former agricultural land was designated as a strategic employment location with Cherwell District local plan.

The site is close to other well-established business and retail parks that are home to major brands including Scania, Karcher, Yaskawa, DHL, and Marks and Spencer.
