Vacancy: Project Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant and dedicated planning team, based in the Guild City of Preston. We are looking for a professional, ambitious, and proactive project administrator. You will have opportunities to work across our multidisciplinary teams located in our newly furnished offices on Riversway Docklands, with excellent links to motorway networks and regional transport hubs.

We offer advice and guidance to clients from all sectors of the development industry – private landowners, local businesses, developers, public sector bodies as well as professional advisers to the property sector, such as solicitors, architects, accountants, and other property professionals. We offer a personal service, enabling clients to choose a level of support to meet their specific needs.

Your Role

  • Support planning professionals with administrative, coordination and organisational requirements.
  • Arrange meetings and keep electronic diaries accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare fee proposals.
  • Assist in the management of the planning projects using Workflow Max.
  • Finalise/collate planning statements and a range of other planning documents required to support applications/appeals including uploading documents to the planning portal.
  • Track the progress of existing planning applications via the Planning Authority websites.
  • Confidently initiate phone calls to clients to provide project updates, demonstrating strong communication skills and a proactive approach to addressing client needs and queries.
  • Manage client requests and enquiries received via email post and telephone, escalating and liaising with appropriate planning colleagues as necessary.

This role works as part of a team and the role will need to support other team members.

This role profile will develop to meet the needs of PWA Planning and include any additional duties as the business needs require.

To be successful in the role you will have the following key skills and experience:

  • Grade C GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent qualification).
  • 5 years + experience in a project management or equivalent administrative role.
  • Proficient computer and keyboard skills.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office packages with the ability to learn how to use and populate Workflow Max,
  • the project management software.
  • Decision making and problem solving
  • Able to work under own initiative and within a team.
  • Well organised and able to prioritise own workload and work under pressure.

What we offer:

  • The position is full-time, with flexible working options, working a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
  • We are offering a competitive salary, which will be reviewed annually and based upon your experience.
  • Your professional fees will be paid by the Company annually
  • You will have access to the Company’s Private Health Care scheme.
  • Membership of the Company pension scheme with 5% company contribution

The position is subject to a 6-month probationary period.
