Paul is a Chartered Town Planner with over 25 years’ of experience working as a professional planning consultant within the private sector. Paul set up PWA Planning in 2013 having previously been a director at De Pol Associates Ltd. Having extensive experience with a number of large residential, commercial, sporting and healthcare developments, Paul is able to provide thorough planning and development advice and support to clients and their agents.
Paul’s particular specialisms lie in planning law and practice, the promotion of strategic residential land, and project management with the planning process, including complex negotiations with planning authorities and other public bodies.
Stella has over 25 years’ experience working as a professional transport engineer both in the private and public sectors of the building industry. Stella started her career at Babtie Group as a highway engineer, gaining valuable experience of highway design and construction, leading on to supervising engineer roles on the M65 and other projects around Merseyside.
More recently, Stella was a principal transport planner for Lancashire County Council. Working in the strategic transport planning team, Stella gained extensive experience of master planning, transport assessment, highway design and environmental issues such as noise and air quality assessment.
Daniel is a Chartered Town Planner with six years’ experience working as a professional planning consultant. Daniel started his career working for a wind energy developer and came to PWA from CH2M HILL where he built up a specialism within infrastructure planning, working alongside the Highways Agency, United Utilities and the Environment Agency.
At PWA, Daniel has been involved in a wide variety of complex projects in the residential and industrial and commercial sectors. His expertise includes the the production of Environmental Impact Assessments as part of developments.
Louise is a Chartered Town Planner with 10 years’ experience. She began her career at Wyre Council where she worked in both planning policy and development management. More recently Louise spent over three years with environmental planning consultancy Stephenson Halliday where she project-managed Environmental Impact Assessments for large scale development projects in the renewables and minerals sectors.
Louise’s other specialisms include the preparation and management of complex planning applications, often involving public consultation and negotiation with public bodies and statutory consultees. Louise has also worked on numerous planning appeals, and has public inquiry experience.
After joining PWA Planning in 2013 as a graduate from University of Manchester, Emily began studying a part-time Masters in Civic Design at Liverpool University. Emily is working towards her professional planning qualifications and at the same time is managing a number of planning and related projects for clients.
Emily also provides assistance and support to more senior staff in the preparation of planning applications and general project management.
Lydia is an experienced town planner and has been a full member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 2005.
She joined PWA Planning in 2017 after more than 10 years as a senior planner for Wyre Borough Council where she led the development management team.
The role involved managing large scale planning applications for the authority. She’s also had planning roles with Lancaster City Council and Blackpool Council.
As well as her career in local authority planning, Lydia also has experience of working on sustainable energy schemes and has undertaken private consultancy work.
Edel joined PWA Planning in 2015 as personal assistant to the directors. Edel joined from the National Nuclear Laboratory where she worked as a PA to three directors.
Her previous roles include PA and project support roles in global blue-chip companies such as BAE Systems. Edel has extensive experience spanning 25 years providing executive support at director level.
Josh has been working in the planning industry since his graduation from the University of Manchester in 2013. Prior to joining PWA, he spent two years working on major applications for large scale renewable energy plants.
Josh has been involved in projects from their inception all the way through to construction and also has experience in dealing with appeals. In addition to being the lead planner on a number of projects he is skilled in project management working alongside a broad team of planners, solicitors, engineers and directors.
Daniel joined PWA Planning in 2017 as a graduate planner and supports our associates and senior planners on a wide range of planning projects. Daniel completed an MSc in Urban Design and International Planning at the University of Manchester in 2016, having graduated in 2015 with a BA (Hons) in Town and Country Planning.
Prior to joining PWA Planning, Daniel gained experience during work placements with Sheffield City Council’s housing and regeneration team and the planning department at Bradford City Council.
Rachael joined PWA Planning in 2017 as a planning technician and provides a wide range of planning support to the team.
Rachael has a BA (Hons) in Geography from University of Manchester. She joined PWA from fuel management services provider Fairbanks Environmental where she worked for five years on environmental projects with major oil and petroleum companies.
Molly is studying for a degree in environmental science at Manchester Metropolitan University, and is interested in continuing her education with a Masters in Town Planning.
She has joined PWA Planning while continuing her undergraduate studies to gain valuable experience in the planning sector. Molly will be involved in a variety of planning projects from site appraisals to monitoring of live applications, providing support to the planning team.
